The decorators are in. Soon we will have a white living room. White, with a black slate fireplace and a dark sofa. Plenty of beautiful wood - cabinets and chairs.
I'm overlooking the disruption (furniture scattered throughout the house, not great when you're in quarantine) and looking forward to the arranging of the pictures, the furniture, and the precious things. My favourite bit.
Yes, hanging pictures and plumping cushions - arranging pretty things that is always the bit about redecorating I like the best. Please show us your lovely new white room when it's done. :-)
